Mrs. Annie Ruth Gibbs was born on December 26, 1931 to the late Lemuel and Clara Parks. She departed this life on November 13, 2021.

Mrs. Annie Ruth was born and raised in Hyde County, North Carolina. She attended Hyde County Union School. She was married to the late Earnest Gibbs for 63 years; her best friend and soulmate. Mrs. Annie Ruth was a loving mother, wife, aunt, grandmother and a very dear friend with a loving spirit.

Mrs. Annie Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel and Clara Parks; her husband, Earnest Gibbs; one daughter, Connie D. Gibbs; one son, Lexington Gibbs; one sister, Patricia Parks and one sister-in-law Mary Cooper.

Mrs. Annie Ruth leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Earnestine (William) Booker, Geraldine Gibbsand Janice Gibbs; three loving sons, Lemuel Parks, James Lee Gibbs (Alice), Boyd Gibbs and Greg Gibbs all of Greenville, NC; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight grandchildren, sixty great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday November 20th, 2021 at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church located at 3170 E Fire Tower Rd. Pastor Ubzell Smith officiating.

Public viewing will be held on Friday November 19th, 2021 from 5pm until 8pm at Mitchell’s Memorial Funeral Home located at 2423 Wintervillage Dr. Winterville N.C.
