"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life... shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."-
Romans 8:38-39.
Willie Ray Shelley, affectionately known as Ray, son of the late Jack and Nora Tatum Shelley, was born on March 15, 1943, and peacefully departed this life on December 29, 2025.

He leaves to cherish his memory his partner for life, Brenda Harris; one sister, Julia Wooten; one brother, Raymond Shelley; and a devoted friend, Curtis Braxton. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
A service, Love and Care, Entrusted to Mitchell's Memorial Funeral Home Inc., located at 5426 Front Lane, Ayden, N.C. 28513.
