Ronnie Earl Suggs (Zonk) departed this earthly life to return to his heavenly home peacefully.

Ronnie was born to the late Nelson "Pete" Suggs and the late Evangelist Odell Suggs. Ronnie was united in holy matrimony to his wife, Joanne Vaughn Suggs. He was born in Nash County and attended Nash-Rocky Mount School System.

Ronnie enjoyed cooking on the grill, weight lifting, traveling, and playing his music. Ronnie also loved being the life of the party with his loud self. He also was a sharp dresser and didn't play about his clothes and shoes.

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Joanne of the home; a sister, Dora Suggs of Washington D.C.; two God-sisters, Bernice Battle and Betty Dupree both of Rocky Mount, NC. He also will deeply be missed by his uncle James Bullock (Essie) of Pinetops, NC; three aunts, Rosa Bullock of Georgia, Christine Bullock House of Pinetops, NC and Ann Shirley Bullock Ford of Washington D.C. and not mention a host of cousins and friends and a special friend, Craig Holloway that was more like a brother.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday September 10th, 2023 at Mitchell's Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
