Rebecca Gray Whitaker, age 86 of Williamston, N.C. departed this earthly life on Monday July 10th, 2023.

She was proceeded in death by her mother; Loretta Jones Gray, her father; James Edward Gray Sr., her husband; Herman Whitaker, her sisters; Mary Cordon, Anita Thompson , her brothers; James Edward Gray Jr.(Luicille), Wilmer Gray Sr.(Charlene), Rudolph Gray, Samuel Gray, Franklin Gray(Sandra), Carvin Gray.

She is survived by her children; Walter Elliot, Cathy Phillips(Donovan), Ralph Whitaker(Denise), Willie Jakes, Tony Jakes, Jennifer Rascoe(Anthony), Andre Jakes, Spring Whitaker, her sisters; Betty Gray, Diane Agosto(Nacho), Shelia Keys, Cynthia Gibbs, her brother; Kenneth Gray, and her sister in law; Emma Gray.

Private Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday July 15th, 2023 at Mitchell's Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
