Ms. Martha Ann Matney age 73 of Asheboro, North Carolina, departed this earthly life on Tuesday October 25th 2022.???

Martha Ann Matney was a native of Grundy V.A., and longtime resident of Asheboro N.C. She spent her time as an inspector with Sapona and Ramseur Interlock, She was a member of Pleasant Cross Christian Church. She enjoyed planting and growing flowers, sitting on the front porch, spending time with family, and was most proud of babysitting three generations of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents George W. Matney and Vernie VanDyke Matney, sisters Hazel Looney, Helen Bowman, Thelma Ratliff and brothers Ira Matney, Edward Matney, Roger Matney an Junior Matney. She was survived by sister, Beulah Hess of Abbington VA, brother, Buford Matney and wife, Linda of Randleman NC, special great nephew, John Michael Robinson of Asheboro NC, host of loving nieces and nephews, Kimberly Johnson, Sherry Helton, Susan Comfort, Dallas Hess, Doug Hess, Danny Matney, Trevor Matney, Missy, Gayle, Sandy and Bub Looney, numerous great-nieces and nephews,and her belove dog, Ben.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday October 29th, 2022 at 1:00pm at Pleasant Cross Christian Church located at 124 Pleasant Cross Rd. Asheboro N.C. 27203.
