Mr. Louis Person , Jr. was born on November 20, 1954, in Pitt County, North Carolina, to the late Nathaniel Smith and Lillian Ruth Willis Person. He was also lovingly raised by his step-father, Louis Person Sr. Louis attended Pitt County Schools and was a proud graduate of North Pitt High School, Class of 1973.

Louis accepted Christ at an early age and became a devoted member of New Wynn Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. James T. Lindsey. He faithfully attended church until relocating to Graham, North Carolina. Even during his years of illness and while confined at home, Louis continued his spiritual journey and maintained steadfast faith in the Lord.

Throughout his career, Louis was employed by several food franchises, where he served diligently as a manager until his health began to decline.

Louis was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Patricia Carney Person; beloved friend, Laura Denise Carr; his parents, Nathaniel Smith, Louis Person Sr., and Lillian Ruth Willis Person; his brothers, Robert D. Moore and William Smith; and his sister, Margaret Everett.

Louis leaves to cherish his memory his devoted daughter, Tammy Council, of the home; four sisters, Daisy Everett (Grover), Geraldine Worthington (James), Barbara Pearson, and Bessie Candice; one nephew, Elder Terry Moore; two grandsons, Sojam Council and Meshach Council; one brother-in-law, six sisters-in-law, and one great-aunt, Rev. Maxine Barnes.

Louis will also be fondly remembered by his adoptive family members: Pam Williams, Caressa, Jose Carr, AD Brooks, Italy, London, and Speshell Carr; two special cousins, Ellis Ray Jones and Evangeline Wilson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Louis will be remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
