Born on September 11, 1951 in Greenville, NC Lille Ruth Wilson was the daughter of Lottie Bell Wilson and Johnny Johnson. Lillie, affectionately known as "Aunt Lilly". After having lived a life filled with love and laughter, Lillie peacefully entered eternal rest on August 16th, 2023 – approximately three weeks before her 72nd birthday.
Lillie was a devoted member of New Life Tabernacle of Faith in Farmville, NC. Where her faith became unwavering. She enjoyed reading the bible and writing down life changing scriptures. Lillie was also a devoted employee to the Krumbeins that own Heilig-Meyers Furniture Stores. In her early years Lillie lived in Virginia Beach, VA with the Krumbeins as their Nanny and Housekeeper. When Lillie returned to Greenville, NC she was the Nanny and Housekeeper for several Attorneys and Doctors. Along the way Lillie developed a love for cooking. She retired from a Matter of Taste Restaurant as a Kitchen Manager. One of her goals was to obtain her high school diploma. Which she achieved in 1979 from J.H. Rose High School in Greenville, NC. Lillie loved to read and was a continuous learner throughout her life.
Lillie was a loving, generous, and devoted daughter, honorary aunt, cousin, and friend. Although Lillie did not have any biological children, she was like a mother to many. She readily opened her home to any family member in need. Lillie loved spending time with family and friends creating lasting memories that will forever be cherished.
Throughout the course of her life, she kept and cherished memorabilia of many memories of her family and friends. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of her family and friends. Her vibrant spirit and infectious laugh continued on throughout her days at PruittHealth in Farmville, NC. Where she developed life long memories with patients and staff.
Remaining to celebrate Lillie's life is a host of honorary nieces, cousins and close friends in her community.
