Obituary

Esther Mae Parker-Dozier, was born on April 21, 1947 to the late Gertrude Dozier Holmes, and Eddie Jones. She departed this life on May 23,2024.

Esther Attend Roberson and North Edgecombe School. From there she helped her mother with her siblings and was a seasonal farm worker for many years. Esther loved music, singing, dancing, jewelry, gardening, flowers  and to dress. She was a fun-loving mother, sister, friend, auntie, and grandmother. She made sure we had and could make any old house look beautiful. She was a beautiful person inside and out, she was always there when needed, offering support, wisdom and love. Esther was a cherished member of the communities where she lived leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. She will be greatly missed. Esther loved to be with her family and just have fun.

Esther was preceded in death by her brothers; Dennis Claude, Ray, James and Deloatch, her sisters Gloria, Claudine, Sarah, Rachel.

Esther leaves behind to cherish her loving memories to three daughters; Hazel Parker, Patricia Parker and Shirley Parker. Two sons; Dennis Parker and Joseph Parker(Ella Petteway Parker). Six sisters; Cynthia Williams, Alberta Holmes, Angel Holmes, Sue Mae, Mary Brown, Carolyn, Gail Jones. Seven brothers; Sammy Davis Holmes, Bobby C. Holmes, Clarence, Eddie,Stanley, Walter and Herman. 10 grandkids; Keisha, Sandra, Michelle, Chris, Shon David, Hilliard, Terrell, Tonya, Corey Patrice, Lateshia Parker. A host of great grandkids, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her dearly.
